AnonyMail terms of service
Closed preview. AnonyMail is not open to the public yet. Only people we invite can use it, features and limits can still change, and this text describes the service exactly as it runs today.
The rules for using AnonyMail.
Índice
1. Who we are
AnonyMail is provided by Anony Labs, Oude Apeldoornseweg 45-067, 7333 NR Apeldoorn, Netherlands. KvK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) number: 42189873.
These terms apply to your use of AnonyMail. How we handle personal data is in the privacy notice.
2. The closed preview
- AnonyMail is a closed preview: only AnonyIDs we invite can use it. It is not open to the public.
- Your account is real: aliases you make receive real e-mail.
- AnonyMail has a Free plan and a paid plan, Plus (section 6). Plus can be bought only once we open purchases; until then the Plan page says so.
- Features can be added, changed or removed during the preview, and some are limited while it runs.
3. Telecommunications contract rules
AnonyMail is provided by Anony Labs, a micro-enterprise that provides only a number-independent interpersonal communications service. Under Article 7.3ac of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet), which implements Article 98 of Directive (EU) 2018/1972, Articles 7.1 to 7.3 of that Act, which contain extra contract rules for telecommunications services, therefore do not apply to your contract with us. Your other rights as a consumer under Dutch and EU law are not affected.
4. What AnonyMail does
- You make aliases: addresses ending in @anonymail.cc. Mail sent to an alias is forwarded to a mailbox of yours that you have verified. AnonyMail does not store your mail; it only forwards it.
- AnonyMail is reply-only: you can reply to anyone who wrote to your alias, through the reply address we made for them, and the reply goes out from your alias. You cannot start a new conversation from an alias.
- Before a reply leaves, we remove read-tracking images from it, and we refuse a reply that contains your real address (you get a notice).
- You can pause, resume and delete aliases. A deleted alias's address is never given out again, to anyone.
- If a message cannot be delivered to your mailbox within 3 days, we give up on it. After 3 hard bounces in a row we pause forwarding to that mailbox until you verify it again.
- Our spam filter may mark or reject mail it considers spam, and may make mistakes either way.
5. Who may use it
You need an AnonyID, and you must be 16 or older: 16 is the age from which you can agree to an online service yourself, without a parent's consent (GDPR Art. 8, UAVG Art. 5), and AnonyMail does not support parental consent, so if you are under 16 you may not use it. During the preview you also need an invitation. You are responsible for your AnonyID and for the mailboxes you connect: anyone who can use them can use your aliases.
Paid plans are for people aged 18 or older. If you are 16 or 17 you may use the Free plan only. AnonyMail learns from your AnonyID only whether you are 18 or older (yes or no), never your date of birth.
6. Plans
- The Plan page lists the plans, what each includes (aliases, forwarding mailboxes, replies per day, custom prefixes) and the durations and prices of the paid one. What you buy is what that page and the confirmation step show when you order.
- The Free plan costs nothing. What the plans include may change; what you have keeps working when a limit is lowered, but you can add more only below the new limit.
- “Unlimited (fair use)” means there is still a maximum, shown on the Plan page, so that nobody can create addresses in bulk.
- The daily limits in section 12 that depend on your account's trust level apply to every plan; a plan sets the most they can be.
- Paid plans are sold for a fixed period (one or more months). They do not renew: nothing is charged again unless you order again. When a paid plan ends you are on the Free plan, and everything you have keeps working.
- We do not reduce what a paid plan includes during a period you have paid for, except through a restriction under section 12. ⟦owner decision: what happens to paid time if we ever have to (refund of the unused part?)⟧
7. Prices and payment
- Only people aged 18 or older can buy a paid plan (section 5).
- Prices are in euros. ⟦VAT: whether VAT is charged and how it is shown — after the company registration, with the accountant⟧
- You pay with bitcoin over the Lightning network, on anonymail.app only. Purchases are not offered in the browser extension; a plan bought on the website applies there too.
- Before you order, the confirmation step shows what you get, when it starts and until when, the price in euros, the amount in sats at the exchange rate shown, and the text you agree to. That text, its version and the version of these terms are kept with your order.
- The button “Order with obligation to pay” creates an invoice for that amount, valid for 15 minutes. An invoice that expires unpaid costs nothing and changes nothing.
- If a payment arrives that cannot be matched automatically (for example a lower amount than invoiced), nothing is applied automatically: we check it by hand and either apply the plan or refund the payment.
8. When a paid plan runs
- Your plan starts when your payment arrives and runs until the end of the day (UTC) shown at checkout.
- If you buy the plan you already have, the new period is added to the end of the current one. The checkout says so before you pay.
- There is no proration and no credit for overlapping time.
9. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the day you paid, without giving a reason.
AnonyMail is a service that starts at once (or, for an extension, on the date shown). Before you pay you agree to this text, which is kept with your order:
“I ask for it to start [immediately / on the date shown]. If I withdraw within 14 days, I pay for the time already provided; once the period has been fully provided, I can't withdraw.”
- So if you withdraw, we refund what you paid minus the part for the time already provided (the days the plan was active, as a share of the days you bought). A period that has not started yet is refunded in full. Every paid period is at least one month, so it cannot be fully provided within the 14 days.
- To withdraw, tell us clearly within the 14 days and give your order number (on the order's page): ⟦contact for orders, withdrawals and refunds — to be confirmed⟧. You may use the model form below; you do not have to. ⟦a withdrawal function on the website (EU rules for online contracts) — to be confirmed⟧
- We refund within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal, ⟦in bitcoin over Lightning to a wallet you name, at the euro value — method and exchange rate to be confirmed⟧.
These sentences follow the confirmation text above; ⟦their legal wording is to be confirmed by a lawyer⟧.
Model withdrawal form
To: Anony Labs, Oude Apeldoornseweg 45-067, 7333 NR Apeldoorn, Netherlands, ⟦contact for orders, withdrawals and refunds — to be confirmed⟧
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service: AnonyMail plan
[name, duration], order number [number].
Ordered on [date].
Date [date].
The EU model form also asks for your name and address. AnonyMail does not know them and does not need them: the order number is enough.
10. Refunds
- Withdrawals: section 9. A payment we could not apply automatically: section 7.
- Other refunds (for example when we suspend an account, or when you delete your account while a paid plan runs): ⟦owner decision⟧.
- Refunds are paid in bitcoin over Lightning, to a wallet you name ⟦to be confirmed⟧.
11. Acceptable use
Do not use AnonyMail:
- to send spam or other unwanted bulk mail, or for phishing, fraud or malware;
- to harass, threaten or deceive people;
- for anything unlawful, or to help others do so;
- to get around our limits, for example by making many accounts or aliases to avoid a restriction;
- to attack or overload our systems or anyone else's.
12. Limits and what we may restrict
We may limit, suspend or close an alias or account when it is used for spam, phishing, malware, harassment or other unlawful activity, or when it breaks our limits. The limits are:
- replies only to people who wrote to you first;
- a daily number of replies, of different people you reply to and of new aliases, which depends on your account's trust level (shown on the Plan page), and at most 10 recipients per reply;
- at most 100 incoming messages per hour and 1,000 per day for each alias; more is refused for a while;
- a maximum number of aliases, mailboxes and block rules per account, which depends on your plan (shown on the Plan page).
Automated checks apply restrictions, using counters only (privacy notice, section 7):
- too many replies refused as spam or under the reply-only rules, too many replies that bounce, or repeated complaints about your replies pause your replies and new aliases for 24 hours. Mail keeps being forwarded;
- a third such restriction within 30 days suspends the account until a person reviews it;
- an alias reported by several different organisations within 30 days is suspended.
Our staff can also restrict or suspend an account or alias for a breach of these terms. A suspended alias refuses mail like an address that does not exist; a suspended account can still sign in, export its data and delete itself. The app shows the reason and, for a restriction, when it ends. You can appeal any decision at abuse@anonylabs.com; a person reviews every appeal.
13. Reports and blocking
You can block a sender or a whole domain, for one alias or all of them, and report spam from the banner on forwarded mail or by forwarding it to spam@r.anonyrelay.com. A report helps our spam filter; it does not block the sender for you. The links in the banner always ask you to confirm in the app first. You can switch the banner off in Settings.
14. Availability and liability
- We work to keep AnonyMail available, but during the preview we do not promise any uptime. Mail can be delayed, or refused by us or by the receiving server; keep important mail in your own mailbox, as AnonyMail keeps none.
- AnonyMail is provided as it is, to the extent the law allows.
- We do not limit our liability where the law does not allow it — for example for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
15. Ending
- You can stop at any time: delete your AnonyMail account in Settings → Your data, or delete your AnonyID. Your aliases stop working at once, and their addresses are never given out again.
- We may close an account for serious or repeated breaches of these terms.
- We may end the preview or stop offering AnonyMail. We will tell you in the app before your aliases stop working, so that you can export your data and update the places where you used them.
16. Contact points
- Questions about your data or this service: privacy@anonylabs.com.
- Abuse reports, and appeals against a restriction or suspension: abuse@anonylabs.com.
- Security vulnerabilities: security@anonylabs.com.
- Mail delivery problems (for mail server operators): postmaster@anonylabs.com.
- Authorities (including those of EU member states and the European Commission): abuse@anonylabs.com.
We answer in English or Dutch.
17. Changes to these terms
Each version of these terms has a version number and an effective date, listed at the end of this page. A change applies from its effective date. If a change matters to you, we tell you in the app before it applies.
18. Governing law
Dutch law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, the mandatory law of your country of residence still protects you, and you may also bring proceedings there.
Changes to this page
Every version of this page has a version number and an effective date. When we change it, the new version and a line about what changed are added here.
- Version 2026-10-12.1: Section 1 now gives Anony Labs' KvK (Dutch Chamber of Commerce) number, 42189873, now that the registration is complete. Nothing else changed.
- Version 2026-10-11.1: Section 12: your account's trust level is shown on the Plan page (Plan is now its own item in AnonyMail's navigation, no longer inside Settings). Nothing else changed.
- Version 2026-10-10.3: Plans (Free and Plus), prices and payment with bitcoin over Lightning, when a paid plan runs, the right of withdrawal and refunds (new sections 6 to 10; the later sections are renumbered); paid plans are for people aged 18 or older (section 5); the closed preview no longer says there is nothing to buy (section 2).
- Version 2026-10-10.2: Who may use it: 16 or older instead of 18 (the age for agreeing to an online service without a parent's consent, GDPR Art. 8 / UAVG Art. 5); under 16 may not use AnonyMail. Contact points: new addresses on anonylabs.com (privacy@, abuse@ also for authorities, security@), and postmaster@anonylabs.com for mail delivery problems.
- Version 2026-10-10.1: First version, for the closed preview.
